"At the time of disclosure in 2021, he and his accomplices were holding official positions and developed a large-scale scheme of extortion from citizens for issuing permits for the purchase and possession of weapons, including firearms," the special service said in the Telegram channel.

According to the SBU, in 2020-2021, officials of the Interior Ministry groundlessly issued more than 700 weapons permits and received millions of illegal incomes for this.
