SBU reports seizure of another four Russian companies' assets worth UAH 72 mln

KYIV. Aug 25 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Corporate rights of four companies, worth around UAH 72 million, were seized by rule of Kyivsky District Court of Kharkiv, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has said on the Telegram channel on Thursday.

"The Ukrainian special service established that the ultimate beneficiary of four companies from Kharkiv, Lviv and Dnipro is a citizen of the aggressor country from Tambov. These companies’ core business is retail trade with non-food items all over the territory of Ukraine," it said.

According to the SBU, each of these companies transferred its earnings received in Ukraine to their owner, who in turn paid taxes to the national budget of Russia.

"Thus, in fact, financing of Russia’s military aggression against Ukraine was carried out," it said.

The SBU also established that the charter capitals of these four companies were formed using laundered incomes of a Kharkiv-based company, the assets of which had been seized back in June 2022, according to the SBU materials.

The procedure of transferring the recently seized assets to the management of the Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA) is being carried out.
