SBU notifies leadership of Shariy party of suspicion
KYIV. Sept 25 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Employees of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) reported suspicion of one of the leaders of the Shariy party, the press service of the SBU reported on Friday evening.
"The suspicion was announced under Part 2 of Article 205-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (forgery of documents submitted for state registration of a legal entity and individual entrepreneurs).
According to preliminary information from the SBU, she was engaged in forging documents on the "purchase" of this political force and on the election of its "leaders".
The SBU has substantiated evidence of the woman’s involvement in the forgery of documents on the re-registration of the political party United Ukraine into the political party Shariy.
Moreover, it is reported that the offender falsified the minutes of the meetings of the "political force", which made it possible to "select the necessary party leaders."
At the same time, earlier Viktor Shariy, on whom the Shariy Party was registered, said that he had nothing to do with the activities of this "political force" and only gave notarial consent to use his surname in it for $500.
It is noted that the issue of the choice of a measure of restraint for the suspects is now being resolved.
The SBU continues the investigation and establishes the circle of other persons who may be involved.
