KYIV. Sept 28 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has exposed persons involved in illegal activities related to the registration of the political party Shariy Party, the SBU press center reports.
"Now another three persons have been announced suspicion under Part 2 of Article 205-1 (forgery of documents submitted for state registration of a legal entity and individual entrepreneurs) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The SBU has substantiated evidence of the involvement of these persons in forging documents on re-registration of the political party United Ukraine in the political party Shariy Party and falsification of the minutes of meetings of this ‘political force’ to elect ‘the necessary party leaders,’" the SBU said on its website.
The SBU recalled that another "leader of Shariy party" received suspicion notice last week.
Earlier, Viktor Shariy, on whom the Shariy Party is registered, said that he had nothing to do with the activities of this "political force" and only gave notarial consent to use his surname in it. And he did it for a cash reward of $500.
Now the materials necessary to elect all four suspects a preventive measure are being sent to the court.
The SBU continues the investigation and establishes the circle of other persons who may be involved in this illegal activity.
