SBI to check legality of crossing state border by ‘Monaco battalion’
KYIV. Aug 17 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The State Bureau of Investigations (SBI) will check the circumstances of the departure to the Principality of Monaco of conscripted citizens of Ukraine during the Russian aggression and the role of law enforcement officials in this process, the SBI reports.
"The employees of the SBI have launched a pretrial investigation into the fact made public in the journalistic investigation of Ukrayinska Pravda about the departure to the Principality of Monaco during the Russian aggression of conscripted citizens of Ukraine," the Bureau said on the Telegram channel on Wednesday.
The report notes that, in particular, as part of the investigation of criminal proceedings, the circumstances of crossing the state border of Ukraine by the persons involved in this investigation, as well as the role and place of law enforcement officials in this process, will be investigated.
Earlier, the online publication Ukrayinska Pravda published an investigation about Ukrainian VIP refugees in Monaco, Monte Carlo and Nice.
