SBI summons ex-Energy Minister Demchyshyn for interrogation in case of assisting terrorist organizations
KYIV. Nov 16 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Main Investigation Department of the State Bureau of Investigations (SBI) has summoned former Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine Volodymyr Demchyshyn for questioning.
"In accordance with the requirements of Articles 42, 133, 135 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine, Demchyshyn V.V. is summoned to the investigator of the State Bureau of Investigations at 10.00 on November 19, 2021," the SBI said.
As reported, on November 12, law enforcement officers informed Demchyshyn of suspicion of assisting a terrorist group or terrorist organization (Part 2 of Article 28, Part 1 of Article 258-3 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). He served as Energy Minister from December 2014 to April 2016.
