SBI opens criminal case on accident with Ukrainian president's car
KYIV. Sept 15 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The State Bureau of Investigation of Ukraine (SBI) has opened a criminal case on the road accident that occurred in Kyiv downtown on September 14, the press service of the SBI said on Thursday.
It also said that during the accident a car collided with the autos of the Ukrainian president and his convoy.
"A set of necessary investigatory actions is being carried out. The SBI will inform the public on their results," the press service said.
Earlier, the spokesperson for the head of state, Serhiy Nikiforov, said that the president’s car got into a road accident occurred in Kyiv. The doctors accompanying the head of state provided first aid to the driver of the car and handed him over to an ambulance. The president was examined by a doctor, no serious injuries were found.
