SBI confirms search at MP Kiva on posting video with machine gun
KYIV. Nov 16 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The State Bureau of Investigations (SBI) of Ukraine has confirmed the conduct of investigative actions in the house of MP Illia Kiva as part of an investigation into criminal proceedings on illegal handling of weapons.
"Investigative actions are being carried out as part of the investigation into the fact that the deputy posted a video with a machine gun (Part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code, illegal handling of weapons)," the SBI told Interfax-Ukraine.
Earlier, MP Vadym Rabinovich said on his Facebook page that law enforcement officers came to Kiva on Tuesday morning with a search.
Later, Kiva confirmed the searches at his house. In a video posted on Facebook, he said the searches were carried out by a court order by officers of the State Bureau of Investigations and the Prosecutor General’s Office.
