SBI acting director: President never called me
KYIV. Sept 17 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Acting Director of the State Bureau of Investigations (SBI) Oleksiy Sukhachov says President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has never called him, although a direct connection was established.
In an exclusive interview with Interfax-Ukraine, answering a question of how often he meets with the head of state, the SBI acting director said: "The last time I saw the president was quite a long time ago, in the spring, even during a meeting regarding mass events near the President’s Office."
Answering a question how independent the SBI is and whether the president personally calls the acting director, Sukhachov said: "I have a direct connection, but the president has never called me."
As for the calls from the head of the President’s Office, then, as said by the SBI acting director, he has no direct connection with him.
