Ruta manufacturer of paper products raises output by 61% for two months

KYIV. March 16 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ruta, a large Ukrainian manufacturer of paper products for sanitary purposes, the managing company of which is PJSC VGP (Lutsk), in January-February produced goods worth UAH 247.16 million, which is 60.8% more than in two months in 2022.

According to the statistics of the UkrPapir association, provided to the Interfax-Ukraine agency, in natural terms, in particular, the production of toilet paper in rolls increased slightly, amounting to 19.51 million pieces, which was the third result in the industry after Kyivsky Cardboard and Paper Mill (32.25 million) and Kokhavynska paper mill (22.56 million).

The VGP brand portfolio includes paper products made from 100% cellulose (napkins, toilet paper, paper handkerchiefs, kitchen towels) under the brands Ruta, Ruta Selecta, Fesko, NosovychOk, Polotenechko, 100% paper, Servetta, Ecolo.

According to UkrPapir, in 2022, VGP manufactured products worth UAH 977.61 million, which is 2.8% more than a year earlier. In 2021, according to the company’s financial report on the website, its net profit increased 4.4 times compared to the previous year – up to UAH 97.21 million, with a 17.7% increase in net income – up to UAH 942 million.

100% of the shares of VGP are owned by Tissico Limited (Cyprus), the controlling stake of which is held by Europe Virgin Fund private equity fund created by Dragon Capital investment company.
