Russian Railways sees rapid growth in transit between Japan, Europe in 2021
MOSCOW. Sept 16 (Interfax) – Russian Railways is seeing rapid growth in transit between Japan and Europe in 2021.
"Interaction between rail and sea transport has made it possible to implement a number of new joint projects to develop multimodal services linking CIS and European countries [including] with Japan," Russian Railways CEO Oleg Belozerov said at a plenary session of the Coordinating Council on Trans-Eurasian Transportation.
"Japan-EU transit has started to grow rapidly this year. We know that Japanese customers carry the most expensive cargo and are very demanding," he added.
