Russian occupiers shell Chasiv Yar in morning, kill two civilians – local authorities

KYIV. Jan 27 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Two people were killed and at least five suffered injuries as a result of the Russian forces’ shelling attack on the town of Chasiv Yar in Donetsk region on Friday, Head of Donetsk Regional Military Administration Pavlo Kyrylenko has said.

"The shelling started at around 9 a.m. and lasted for more than one hour and a half. Around ten houses, the premises and buildings of establishments and state agencies, and cars were damaged," he said on the Telegram channel.

The enemy also shelled Avdiyivka, Toretsk, Oleksandropil, and Bohoyavlenka.

"At around 9 a.m., the Russian troops shelled the central district of Avdiyivka from artillery, and a few hours later they used Grad systems with cluster shells. No information about casualties has been received," he said.

The occupation forces also shelled Nelipivka in Toretsk united territorial community. No casualties were reported. Houses and household buildings were damaged during the shelling. Oleksandropil in Ocheretianska united territorial community and Bohoyavlenka were shelled from multiple launch rocket systems.

"Information on the aftermath is yet to be updated," Kyrylenko said.
