Russian missile debris found on territory of Moldova's Briceni district – patrol police
KYIV. Feb 16 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Moldovan Border Police patrol discovered the debris of a missile, which was launched during a Russian attack on Ukraine, on the territory of the country’s Briceni district.
The Interior Ministry of Moldova said on its website on Thursday that once the remains of the alleged missile were discovered, measures were immediately taken to guard the area and the emergency services as well as Briceni District Prosecutor’s Office were notified.
“It is the fourth case in which pieces of missiles from the bombing of Ukraine fall on the territory of the Republic of Moldova. As in the previous cases, all the necessary actions are taken, according to the procedure, by the competent institutions, to provide safety and security to the citizens,” the ministry said.
Briceni district is situated in the north-western part of Moldova, borders Romania and Ukraine’s Chernivtsi region.
