Russian mercenaries launch attacks on Maryinka, destroy residential building, adjacent territory – JCCC

KYIV. Nov 16 (Interfax-Ukraine) – On Tuesday morning on November 16, Russian mercenaries fired at the village of Maryinka, as a result of which a residential building and the adjacent territory was destroyed, the Ukrainian side of the Joint Center for the Control and Coordination of Ceasefire Issues (JCCC) has reported.

"From 07:50 to 08:20 on November 16, Russian armed formations fired at the village of Maryinka with the use of 82 mm mortars. The fire was conducted in the direction of the village of Trudivske, a 13-minute hit was recorded. As a result of the shelling attack, a residential building and the surrounding area were destroyed at the following address: Maryinka, Street 236 Prokofieva," the message posted on the Facebook page of the press center of the Joint Forces Operation headquarters says.

It is noted that the distance of the hit zone from the actual disengagement line of the sides is about 600 meters, which indicates the deliberate shelling of residential buildings.

"These facts were established and documented by the observation group of the Ukrainian side of the JCCC. The materials were transferred to the special monitoring mission of the OSCE in Ukraine," the message says.

Also, on this fact, the materials were transferred to Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
