Russian invaders damage over 2,500 educational establishments since Feb 24, of them 287 completely destroyed – Shkarlet
KYIV. Sept 19 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Russian occupation forces have destroyed 2,532 educational establishments since the beginning of their full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, and 287 of these establishments were completely destroyed, Education and Science Minister of Ukraine Serhiy Shkarlet has said.
"Today, we have 2,532 schools damaged, 287 of them are completely destroyed," he said on air of the national telethon on Monday.
According to the minister, the latest calculations show that it will cost Ukraine more than $9.2 billion to restore the educational facilities, and $2.8 billion are needed as soon as possible.
