Russian GDP grew 4.8% in H1 – Rosstat
MOSCOW. Sept 1 (Interfax) – Russian GDP grew an estimated 4.8% year-on-year in H1 2021, the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat) said.
Rosstat said in the middle of August that Russian GDP grew 10.3% year-on-year in Q2 2021 after falling 0.7% in Q1.
The Russian Economic Development Ministry estimates the economy grew 10.1% in Q2 and 4.6% in H1.
GDP grew from a low base in Q2 2020, when it shrank 7.8% year-on-year. GDP fell 3.4% year-on-year in H1 2020.
Rosstat will give more detailed Q2 2021 GDP figures on September 10.
