Russia registers 32,136 new cases of COVID-19, 1,184 deaths in past 24 hours – HQ
MOSCOW. Dec 6 (Interfax) – Russia has registered 32,136 new cases of COVID-19 and 1,184 deaths in the past 24 hours, the coronavirus response headquarters said in a statement on Monday.
"Over the past day, 32,136 COVID-19 cases were confirmed in 85 regions of Russia, including 2,561 asymptomatic cases identified proactively (8.0%)," the headquarters said.
The daily morbidity was the largest in Moscow (3,134), followed by St. Petersburg (2,412) and Moscow region (2,215).
Over the past day, 1,184 persons died from COVID-19 across Russia, mostly in Moscow (91), Moscow region (62), and St. Petersburg (55).
Since the beginning of the coronavirus epidemic in Russia, it has registered a total of 9,833,749 cases of COVID-19, including 282,462 deaths and 8,530,476 recoveries, including 28,070 persons discharged from hospital over the past day. The number of active cases (all cases minus all recoveries and all deaths) currently stands at 1,020,811.
