Russia records 3 cases of Mu variant, 1 of Lambda variant of COVID-19 – Rospotrebnadzor
MOSCOW. Nov 1 (Interfax) – Russia has recorded three cases of the Mu variant of the novel coronavirus and one case of the Lambda variant to date, Vasily Akimkin, head of the Central Research Institute of Epidemiology of the Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing (Rospotrebnadzor), said.
"As the variants were updated, we have seen just one case of the Lambda variant in our territory, in Russia, and three cases of the Mu genetic variant," Akimkin said at a scientific and practical congress with the theme "Topical Aspects of the State Sanitary and Epidemiological Control in the Russian Armed Forces" on Monday.
