Russia must be held accountable for its atrocities in Ukraine – US ambassador
KYIV. Sept 17 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Reports of Russian war crimes in Kharkiv region should strengthen the resolve to support Ukraine and hold Russia accountable, US Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink has said.
"Horrific news of a mass grave in Izium should reinforce our collective resolve to hold Russia accountable for its atrocities and to support Ukraine in its efforts to defend its homeland and liberate its citizens suffering horribly under Russia’s forces," Brink said on Twitter.
As reported, about 500 graves of the civilian population and a mass grave were found in liberated Izium, Kharkiv region, where up to 20 servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were buried.
