Russia, its proxies obliged to comply with intl humanitarian law regarding POWs – Blinken
KYIV. Aug 13 (Interfax-Ukraine) – US Secretary of State Antony Blinken expressed the negative position of the United States towards the illegitimate authorities in eastern Ukraine bringing charges against captured citizens of Great Britain, Sweden and Croatia.
"We are concerned by reports of British, Swedish & Croatian nationals being charged by illegitimate authorities in eastern Ukraine. Russia and its proxies have an obligation to respect international humanitarian law, including the rights & protections afforded to prisoners of war," Blinken said on Twitter.
