Russia carries out act of nuclear terrorism by launching missiles over Pivdennoukrainska NPP – Energoatom
KYIV. Feb 20 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Energoatom regards the flight of cruise missiles fired by Russian invaders over the territory of Pivdennoukrainska nuclear power plant (NPP) in the town of Yuzhnoukrainsk, Mykolaiv region on Saturday as an act of nuclear terrorism.
“On February 18, 2023, during another massive Russian missile attack on Pivdennoukrainska NPP at 08:25 and 08:27, flights of two enemy cruise missiles were recorded. The threat to get into the reactor with possible consequences – a nuclear catastrophe – was again high. This is another act of Russian nuclear terrorism that threatens the security of the whole world.”
In this regard, the company appealed to the IAEA with a demand to take all possible measures to stop Russia’s nuclear terrorism, withdraw military units of Russia from the territory of Zaporizhia NPP in the town of Enerhodar, Zaporizhia region and establish a demilitarized zone around it, as well as a no-fly zone – over all nuclear facilities of Ukraine.
