Ruscists’ atrocities in occupied territories resemble Nazi ones – Zelensky

KYIV. Sept 19 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The atrocities of ruscists in the occupied territories resemble the practice of the Nazis, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in a video message on Saturday evening.

"Today, exhumation work continued at the site of the discovered mass grave in Izium, Kharkiv region. Examinations of bodies are being carried out. New evidence of torture has been obtained, which was applied to the people buried there," he said.

According to the President, "more than ten dungeons have already been found in the liberated districts of Kharkiv region in different towns and settlements. When the occupiers fled, they also abandoned the devices for bullying." "Even at the ordinary station of Kozacha Lopan, they found a room for torture, they found tools for electrocution. It’s just a train station! Torture was a widespread practice in the occupied territory. That’s what the Nazis did. That’s what ruscists do. And they will respond in the same way – both on the battlefield and in the courtrooms," he said.

"We will identify all those who tortured, who bullied, who brought this atrocity from Russia here to the Ukrainian land," the president said.

He noted that "now the liberated districts of Kharkiv region can finally live. Food and medicines are being delivered, energy supply is being returned, pensions have been brought, we are restoring the work of transport and the railway. The time will come – we will restore everything that the invaders destroyed."

According to the president, "many Russian soldiers realized that they have no chance on Ukrainian soil, that they will be defeated. The most reasonable surrender, and we guarantee them the observance of all rights in accordance with the conventions, and we will continue to put pressure on all occupiers to understand this."
