Romania to allocate additional $800,000 to strengthen Ukraine's defense capability
KYIV. Apr 4 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Romanian government has decided to allocate funds to strengthen the defense capabilities of Ukraine and Moldova, head of the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Bogdan Aurescu said.
“Romania will commit itself, and I will announce tomorrow and today that we will make an additional contribution to the programs of strengthening the defense potential of the Alliance, allocating more than $800,000 for Ukraine and $750,000 for Moldova to improve their defense capability,” said Aurescu in a statement before the meeting of the foreign ministers of the countries-members of NATO, published by the press service of the Romanian Foreign Ministry.
He also called on his colleagues to take part in the Black Sea Security Conference, which will be held by Ukraine and Romania on April 12-13 in Bucharest as part of the International Crimea Platform.
