Reznikov, Zaluzhny congratulate Polish people on Polish Armed Forces Day
KYIV. Aug 15 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhny congratulated the Polish people on the Day of the Armed Forces of Poland on Monday.
"All the best to our friendly Poland and the Polish Army! Our people are well aware that the Armed Forces are the key to the independence of the state and the freedom of the nation. For our and your freedom!" Reznikov said on Twitter.
Zaluzhny also congratulated the Polish people on the holiday "on my own behalf and on behalf of the Armed Forces of Ukraine" noting that the Polish Army defended its statehood in Warsaw battle and saved Europe from the Bolshevik invasion. The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said the Ukrainian People’s Republic was Poland’s ally in this war.
"Today, like 102 years ago, we are once again confronting a common centuries-old enemy. I am sincerely grateful to the Polish people for their help and support in this difficult time! We are fighting for our and your freedom," he said.
