Reznikov publishes photo of Ukrainian self-propelled gun Bohdan of 155 mm caliber, successfully tested on battlefield
KYIV. Jan 27 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov published a picture of a self-propelled artillery installation Bohdan of 155 mm caliber of Ukrainian production, and said that Western-made tanks at the front will be supported by Ukrainian artillery.
“On the picture, there is Ukrainian self-propelled gun Bohdan of 155 mm caliber. One such artillery system has been successfully tested on the battlefield. The new artillery systems of the Ministry of Defense were funded in the spring of 2022. Western–made tanks, which will arrive in a few months, will be supported at the front by Ukrainian – in all senses of the word – artillery,” the minister wrote on Facebook on Thursday.
He stressed that Ukraine should be as independent as possible in all components of defense, where possible.
“This makes our country a desirable partner, strengthens our positions. That is why the Ministry of Defense will increase efforts in the context of stimulating Ukrainian producers,” Reznikov added.
He also said that soon “the first results of our UAV movement will be presented.”
