Reznikov on use of Bayraktar in Donbas: We don't mount attacks in JFO area
KYIV. Dec 3 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov has stressed that the use of Bayraktar with one clear shot at the appropriate cannon in the area of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) was necessary.
"You know the well-known fact when we were forced to use Bayraktar with one clear shot at the appropriate cannon mounting. According to our intelligence, today the occupation forces are already afraid to sign up for a contract and serve in such installations. They understand how this could end," said Reznikov during the "hour of questions to the government" in the Verkhovna Rada in Kyiv on Friday.
The head of the Ministry of Defense assured that Ukraine does not violate the Minsk agreements.
"We do not launch attacks in the area of the Joint Forces Operation. If the enemy, the occupying forces violate the ceasefire regime, kill our military, we warn through the JCCC, through the OSCE SMM that they stop violating the Minsk agreements, the ceasefire regime. If this mechanism does not work, the Armed Forces, using Article 51 of the UN Statute The Right to Self-Defense, use all the necessary forces and means, and immediately respond in an appropriate manner," Reznikov explained.
