Resident of Mariupol sentenced to three years in prison for propaganda of war on Internet

KYIV. Sept 27 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The 51-year-old native of Mariupol has been convicted of encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine and propaganda of war, the information policy department of Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office has reported.

The prosecutor proved in court that in the period from November 2018 to June 2020, the lawbreaker reposted and posted on his page the information banned in Ukraine on the Odnoklassniki social network, posted on the Internet by the Rupor of Novorossiya resource.

In particular, the accused copied and thus disseminated content calling for a resolution of the military conflict and the commission of deliberate actions in order to change the borders of the territory and the state border of Ukraine.

By the verdict of the Prymorsky District Court of Mariupol, the offender was sentenced to three years in prison.
