Reports about 10,000 Russian troops near border with Sumy region not true – local authorities
KYIV. Feb 17 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The information about 10,000 Russian military on the border with Sumy region does not match reality, Sumy Regional Military Administration has said in response to respective information disseminated in domestic and world media.
“The information about 10,000 Russian troops on the border with Sumy is not true. As of today, according to the information of the military, no enemy strike force has been detected on the border with Sumy region,” it said on the Telegram channel on Friday.
Sumy Regional Military Administration has already contacted law enforcement agencies to verify the source of the specified data.
“According to preliminary information, this is nothing more than IPSO [informational and psychological special operation]. Be vigilant! Do not fall for fakes! And trust only official sources,” the administration said.
