Registration of tax invoices soon to be restored, become mandatory – MP Hetmantsev

KYIV. May 5 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Registration of tax invoices will soon be restored and become mandatory, Head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy Danylo Hetmantsev has said.

"I inform you that the registration of tax invoices will soon be restored and become mandatory. Everything is like in the good old peaceful times, only without VAT carousel frauds and dummy entrepreneurs. Do not be offended, control will be tough in a military way, and the system will be safe," he wrote on Telegram on Thursday.

According to him, the committee and the Ministry of Finance are discussing the possibility of returning to the budgetary reimbursement of value added tax (VAT).

"We are also working with the Minister of Finance [Serhiy] Marchenko to restore the process. Also, not immediately and with reservations, but quite effectively… Meeting the needs of business, despite the war and understandable threats, we are restoring the normal mode of operation tax system of the country. Of course, with exceptions regarding areas of hostilities," the parliamentarian said.

As reported, the Verkhovna Rada has postponed consideration of the bill amending the Tax Code, which provided for the VAT refund for January 2022 with government bonds (bill No. 7311).
