Recognition of PMC Wagner as intl criminal organization to affect confiscation of Russian assets – Yermak
KYIV. Feb 6 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The recognition of the Russian private military company Wagner as an international criminal organization will further affect the confiscation of Russian assets in the world, Andriy Yermak, head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, is sure.
"We are getting ready to destroy Wagner as a component of international terrorism. Today’s recognition of Wagner PMC as a terrorist organization in the Verkhovna Rada is a step towards bringing them to justice," Yermak wrote on Telegram.
According to him, in the future this will affect the confiscation of Russian assets.
"Ukraine will appeal to the courts of the allied states," Yermak said.
Earlier on Monday, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine recognized PMC Wagner as an international criminal organization and called on foreign partner states to recognize Russian PMCs as terrorist organizations.
