Real wages in Ukraine 10.2% up in July – statistics
KYIV. Aug 27 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Real wages in Ukraine in July 2021 compared to July 2020 grew by 12.9%, compared to June of this year – by 0.1%, the State Statistics Service has said.
The service said the average nominal wage of full-time employees in July increased by 0.2% compared to June 2021, and in annual terms increased by 21.5%, amounting to UAH 14,345, which is 2.4 times higher than the minimum wage (UAH 6,000).
In June 2021, the average nominal wage of full-time employees was UAH 13,313, in May – UAH 13,499, in April – UAH 13,543, in March – UAH 13,612, in February – UAH 12,549, in January – UAH 12,337.
According to its data, the largest increase in the average wages of full-time workers in July of this year compared with July 2020 was observed in Zakarpattia (by 24.4%), Khmelnytsky (by 23.8%), Volyn (by 23.7%), Rivne (by 23.6%), Ivano-Frankivsk (by 23.4%), Lviv (by 22.7%) regions, as well as in Kyiv city (by 22.9%).
The highest level of average wages in the past month was recorded in Kyiv – UAH 20,956, the lowest in Chernivtsi region – UAH 11,350.
In July 2021, compared to the same month in 2020, wages increased in the field of temporary accommodation and catering by 52.5%, healthcare – by 30.5%, provision of other types of services – by 28.4%, in the field of art, sports and entertainment – by 27.8%, education – by 27.5%, at transport enterprises, postal and courier services – by 27.2%, information and telecommunications – by 26.1%, in real estate transactions – by 23.3%, in professional, scientific and technical activities – by 21.8%, in agriculture and forestry – by 21.5%, in financial and insurance activities – by 20.3%, in construction – by 19.0%, in the sphere of wholesale and retail trade – by 17.3%, and in industry – by 15.9%.
The State Statistics Service reminded that the data is given without taking into account the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the city of Sevastopol, part of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
