Razumkov won't take part in procedure for removing him from post of Rada chairman – Korniyenko

KYIV. Oct 4 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Dmytro Razumkov will not take part in the procedure for recalling him from the post of speaker of parliament in accordance with the Rules of Procedure, first deputy head of the Servant of the People faction Oleksandr Korniyenko has said.

"The procedure for recalling the chairman of the Verkhovna Rada will indeed take place in accordance with the Regulations, which stipulates that the current chairman of the Verkhovna Rada does not take part in it. Therefore, Dmytro Oleksandrovych [referring to Razumkov], as soon as we come to an agreement, whether the signatures [of MPs in the signature lists] are truthful, as you hint at it, and you do some weekly checks to the Apparatus, then I think this procedure will immediately be launched in accordance with the Regulations," Korniyenko said at a meeting of the conciliation council on Monday.

As reported, the Servant of the People parliamentary faction collected 150 necessary signatures for initiating the recall of Dmytro Razumkov from the post of chairman of the Verkhovna Rada. The collection of signatures took place at a meeting of the faction in Truskavets on Saturday.

Razumkov was number one on the party list of the Servant of the People party in the 2019 parliamentary elections.
