Razumkov says ready to discuss two years of his work as speaker with all Rada factions, groups

KYIV. Oct 4 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Dmytro Razumkov has announced his readiness to meet with representatives of all factions and groups of parliament in order to discuss his activities as speaker over the past two years.

"I would like to appeal to all other factions, deputy groups: if there is a need to discuss the activities of the head of the Verkhovna Rada regarding my unsatisfactory work over the past two years, I am ready to meet, hear comments and suggestions, and then we will see. I will address you officially, if there is such a desire, I am ready to meet," Razumkov said at a meeting of the conciliation council on Monday.

At the same time, he said that the Servant of the People faction refused to meet with him, which was to take place on the evening of October 4.

"Indeed, a meeting with the Servant of the People faction was proposed today [October 4] at 18:00 regarding the initiative that came from colleagues to recall the chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine from the post. I received an official letter about the refusal, that there is no point in such a meeting. The position has been processed and it is very good that it adheres to only one point of view, no other points of view are needed. These are indeed the principles of democracy," the speaker said.
