Rada proposes to ban civil servants awarding – bill
KYIV. Aug 26 (Interfax-Ukraine) – MP Serhiy Vlasenko (Batkivschyna faction) proposes to ban awarding civil servants and cancel "honorary titles".
Vlasenko registered the corresponding bill No. 5855 on amending some legislative acts of Ukraine on reducing the list of state awards in parliament, the website of the Verkhovna Rada reports.
The bill also proposes to prohibit the awarding of state awards on the occasion of public holidays, anniversaries, memorable dates.
In addition, the bill provides that the persons awarded or nominated for the award have the right to refuse them by notifying the President and (or) the body authorized to conduct the award in writing.
