Rada profile committee proposes to allocate UAH 11.1 bln for state support of farmers in 2022

KYIV. Sept 23 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The subcommittee on economic and financial policy in the agro-industrial complex proposes in 2022 to increase spending for the implementation of the program "Financial Support of Agricultural Producers" provided for in the state budget by UAH 6.5 billion: from the current UAH 4.6 billion to UAH 11.1 billion," the Agrarian Union of Ukraine said on its the website.

According to the union, the subcommittee at a meeting on September 22 recommended that the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Agrarian and Land Policy propose to the Cabinet of Ministers and the Ministry of Finance to provide additional costs for state support programs for farmers when finalizing the state budget for 2022.

It noted that in addition to allocating extra UAH 6.5 billion for state support programs, the subcommittee proposed to increase the costs of the program "Granting loans to farms" by UAH 400 million – up to UAH 500 million.

The department also proposed to increase the total budget of the State Service of Ukraine for Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre by UAH 235 million – up to UAH 1.521 billion.

According to the union, the subcommittee proposed to provide for the state budget for 2022 a new budget program "Selection in fisheries and reproduction of aquatic biological resources in inland waters and the Azov-Black Sea basin" for the implementation of which the State Fisheries Agency of Ukraine is proposed to allocate UAH 152.5 million.

The committee proposed to finance and increase the costs of these budget programs from funds received from the privatization of state property and income from its use, dividends from state shares, tax revenues, by increasing the efficiency of state property management and tax administration.
