Rada exempts pupils of 11 grades from final certification, determines order of admission to universities in format of national multi-subject test – Shkarlet
KYIV. Feb 23 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Verkhovna Rada has exempted the 11th grades from the state final certification and determined the order of admission to universities in the format of the national multi-subject test (NMT), said Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Serhiy Shkarlet.
“Deputies supported the government’s draft law of Ukraine defining the format of accession in 2023. Some 285 deputies gave their affirmative votes. So, 11th grade pupils are exempt from passing the state final certification. Entrance exams for higher education will be held in the NMT format,” Shkarlet wrote on the Telegram channel on Thursday.
According to him, the NMT will contain assignments in three subjects, in particular, two compulsory subjects: the Ukrainian language and mathematics, as well as one to choose from: the history of Ukraine, a foreign language, biology, physics or chemistry.
“It is important that the testing will take place within one day. Safety was, is and will be in the first place,” wrote Shkarlet.
