Rada does not support opposition's proposal to remove Stefanchuk from session on Thursday

KYIV. Sept 22 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine did not vote for the removal of First Deputy Chairman of the Parliament Ruslan Stefanchuk from the plenary session at the request of the opposition factions.

This proposal was supported by only 61 MPs (at least 226 votes in favour is required to make a positive decision).

As a correspondent of Interfax-Ukraine said, the statement from the European Solidarity, Holos and Batkivschyna factions came after the MPs voted to consider the bill on de-oligarchization (No.5599) under a special procedure that does not allow to the MPs to submit for discussion all amendments to the document.
