Rada chairman: large block of proposals being prepared for draft state budget 2023 to support local self-government

KYIV. Sept 23 (Interfax-Ukraine) – A large block of proposals is being prepared for the draft state budget for 2023 regarding support for local self-government in Ukraine, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk has said.

"Proposals will be made. I know that a large block of proposals regarding local self-government is being prepared now. Despite the fact that this will be a wartime budget, we will find an opportunity to provide all the necessary things provided for supporting local self-government," he said at the IX Ukrainian Forum of Local Self-Government.

In addition, as the press service of the parliament reported, Stefanchuk said that at the legislative level it is necessary to fix the methodology for compensating for the damage caused, prioritizing budget financing in restoration, and also identifying issues of cooperation between the regions of Ukraine and other countries.
