Rada adopts laws on preferential import of drones and thermal imagers
KYIV. Feb 6 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Verkhovna Rada at a meeting on Monday adopted as a basis and in general two bills on exemption from VAT and duties on the import of drones, thermal imagers, collimators, walkie-talkies and night vision devices, said MP from the Holos faction Yaroslav Zhelezniak.
"The law was developed together with volunteer organizations. It’s an honor to help you and be the author of one of the laws," Zhelezniak wrote on Telegram.
According to him, 331 and 326 votes were given for relevant bills No. 8360 and No. 8361-d at the meeting on Monday.
The MP noted that express shipments of equipment would also be possible, which would greatly simplify the work of volunteers.
Earlier, the head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Taxation and Customs Policy, Danylo Hetmantsev, reported that in the revised version of the bill, the committee had resolved an important issue regarding the non-application of non-tariff regulation of foreign economic activity to such goods, including state export control measures.
