Putin digs abyss between Russia, Ukraine – Zelensky
KYIV. Jan 19 (Interfax-Ukraine) – President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed that the goal is the return of the occupied territories, including Crimea.
"Our goal is to de-occupy our territories. Crimea is our land, these are our mountains and our sea. Give us your weapons and we will return ours," he said on Thursday, speaking via video link at the ‘Ukrainian Breakfas’ in Davos, organized by the Victor Pinchuk Foundation.
According to him, "there is still a possibility for Russia to withdraw from this territory." "No one says that you can return the relationship, but they can save the lives of their people. This is their future. The gulf between us is deep, but they dug it. It is Putin who stands with a shovel. And this shovel will remain in history," Zelensky said.
