Providna insure cuts gross premiums by 21.8%, payments by 4.3% in H1 2022
KYIV. Aug 17 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Insurance company Providna (Kyiv) in January-June 2022 collected UAH 504.9 million in gross premiums, which is 21.8% less than the volume for the same period a year earlier, according to a report of the company posted in the information disclosure system of the National Securities and the Stock Market Commission of Ukraine.
At the same time, during the reporting period, the company collected UAH 513.3 million in net premiums (1.6% less). At the same time, premiums ceded to reinsurance rose to UAH 3.452 million (3.8% more).
In the first half of 2022, the company paid UAH 267.801 million, which is 4.3% less than in the same period a year earlier.
Gross profit increased 19.9%, to UAH 195.142 million, administrative expenses decreased 3.9%, to UAH 27.556 million, financial result from operating activities increased 2.4 times, to UAH 101.374 million, net profit increased 2 .1 times, to UAH 89.632 million.
The key shareholder of PrJSC Insurance Company Providna is IIC Ukraine BV (the Netherlands), which owns 99.999692% of the shares of the insurer, and the ultimate beneficial owner is Willem Jacob Westerlaken.
