Prosecutor's office starts criminal proceedings on shelling of Tryokhizbenka by Russia-occupation forces

KYIV. Oct 29 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Law enforcement officials qualified the shelling of the village of Tryokhizbenka in Luhansk region by Russia-occupation forces, as a result of which civilian infrastructure was damaged, as a violation of the laws and customs of war (part 1 of Article 43).

According to the Luhansk Regional Prosecutor’s Office, according to the investigation, on the evening of October 27, 2021, illegal armed groups controlled by the occupation authorities fired at the village of Tryokhizbenka in Luhansk region.

"As a result of the opening of fire, five residential buildings, one garage, as well as a power line, which is a civil infrastructure from the point of view of international humanitarian law, were damaged," the statement said.

Currently, priority investigative (search) actions are continuing. All the circumstances of the commission of the crime are established.
