Prosecutor General Kostin calls to create intl military tribunal for crime of Russian aggression against Ukraine now
KYIV. Dec 9 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Prosecutor General of Ukraine Andriy Kostin calls for the establishment of an international military tribunal as soon as possible to consider the facts of the crime of Russian aggression against Ukraine.
According to the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office, Kostin made the corresponding statement during his speech at the International Human Rights Conference "UA: Human Rights in Dark Times."
"Leading international institutions have recognized Russia as a terrorist state and called for the creation of an international tribunal for the crime of aggression. It should be created right now, during the war. This will demonstrate the firmness of Ukraine and the international community in their desire to hold accountable for the crime of aggression," the Prosecutor General is convinced.
In addition, according to him, the tribunal "will create additional pressure on the Russian elites and may accelerate internal political shifts in Russia, which will help bring our common victory closer."
