Prosecutor General addresses US congressmen, noting need for joint actions to freeze, seize assets of Russian oligarchs
KYIV. Sept 22 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Prosecutor General Andriy Kostin addressed the Subcommittee on Europe, Energy, the Environment and Cybersecurity of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the U.S. Congress, where he stressed the need for joint actions to search, freeze and seize the assets of Russian oligarchs involved in the aggression against Ukraine.
Kostin said that "the compensation mechanism should take into account all victims of aggression, including people who have lost loved ones or are experiencing psychological trauma," the Prosecutor General’s Office said on the Telegram channel.
The Prosecutor General also said that it is necessary to bring to justice all those involved in war crimes, crimes of genocide and aggression.
"The world should hear a powerful signal: no one who violates international law will go unpunished," the prosecutor General concluded.
