Property of enterprises that produced weapons for Russian defense industry seized in Cherkasy region
KYIV. Aug 11 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine (PGO) has said that the property worth more than UAH 17 million of the enterprises in Cherkasy region that produced weapons for the Russian defense industry has been seized.
"At the request of Cherkasy Regional Prosecutor’s Office, in the framework of criminal proceedings on financing the actions committed with the aim of forcibly changing or overthrowing the constitutional order or seizing state power, changing the boundaries of the territory or state border of Ukraine, the court ruled to seized the corporate rights of enterprises of a Russian citizen worth more than UAH 17 million (Part 3, Article 110-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)," the PGO said in the Telegram channel on Thursday.
According to the PGO, three enterprises, owned by the Russian citizen, carried out orders for the Russian defense industry for the production of weapons, their parts and ammunition.
According to the report, during 2016-2021 they carried out money transfers to enterprises of the same owner in Russia.
The PGO said that the issue of transferring the seized property to ARMA is being considered.
