Promenada Center shopping mall will become sports outlet
KYIV. Sept 21 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Promenada Center, one of the first shopping centers in Kyiv, after 19 years of operation is changing its concept and becoming a sports outlet, the press service of the Ukrainian Trade Guild (UTG) told Interfax-Ukraine.
According to it, the Promenada Center shopping mall will be transformed into a sports outlet, which presents a wide range of products for active life. The two levels with an area of 25,000 square meters will house 26 sportswear, equipment and military stores.
"The renovation of the Promenada Center shopping mall will be carried out as gently as possible for both visitors and tenants. In the process, there will be a soft change and addition of operators: first, the filling of free lots, then the relocation of existing ones, so that in such a difficult time the facility continues to function and, at a minimum, pay off," UTG Director Yevhenia Loktionova explained.
According to her, the Betty Barclay, Le rossy, Levis, SuperDry operators and others have been successfully presenting their outlet collections in Promenada Center for many years.
"Due to the fact that there are no more stores in this format in Lukyanivka (a Kyiv district), these operators had high convection. Therefore, it was decided to focus on the outlet center concept as much as possible, supplementing it with a wide range of sports goods so that residents of the central part of Kyiv could buy the goods they liked at affordable prices," Loktionova said.
She recalled that in 2020, one of the anchor tenants was replaced: a modern Silpo grocery supermarket was opened on the site of Furshet, and later a JYSK chain store was opened. The next stage of the renovation will be the creation of a sports outlet.
