Projected price of gas imports in draft state budget for 2022 set at $ 220 per 1,000 cubic meters
KYIV. Sept 17 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The government draft of the state budget of Ukraine for 2022 was built taking into account the forecast of the Ministry of Economy on the average annual price of gas imports of $ 220 per 1,000 cubic meters.
According to an explanatory note to the document registered in the Verkhovna Rada and posted on its website, the average oil price next year is expected to reach $ 65 per barrel of Brent.
In addition, the government laid down in the draft state budget for 2022 a forecast of a decrease in the cost of iron ore in the first-third quarters of 2022 to $ 100 per tonne compared to $ 181 per tonne in the first-third quarters of 2021 and $ 133 per tonne in Q4, 2021.
The draft state budget for 2022 is based on the forecast of the average annual hryvnia to dollar exchange rate in 2022 of UAH 28.6/$ 1 (UAH 28.7/$1 at the end of the year) and UAH 33.75/EUR1. At the same time, the government still expects devaluation of the national currency this year, indicating the expected average annual exchange rates at the level of UAH 28/$1 and UAH 33.04/EUR1, respectively.
