Price of electricity on DAM market in Ukraine in 2022 lowest compared to EU
KYIV. Jan 13 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The average BASE price index of (baseload electricity) on the day-ahead market (DAM) in Ukraine in 2022 amounted to UAH 2,671.15 per MWh and turned out to be the lowest compared to the EU countries.
As follows from the analysis of the electricity market for 2022 by JSC Market Operator, the BASE price index in Ukraine last year turned out to be almost 75% lower than in Italy, where its maximum value was recorded in the EU – UAH 10,226.50 per MWh.
In Sweden, closest to Ukraine by this indicator, the BASE price index in 2022 is UAH 3,515.91 per MWh, which is 31.6% higher than in Ukraine.
