Poroshenko at meeting with US Ambassador Brink calls for increasing arms supplies, supporting Ukraine's membership in NATO
KYIV. Oct 11 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The fifth President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko met with U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink in Kyiv, in Shevchenko Park, where the Russian rocket hit the day before, the press service of the European Solidarity party reports.
"It is important to have a meeting with U.S. Ambassador Bridget Brink and, as always, a thoughtful exchange of views. There is no need even for additional arguments to provide Ukraine with more weapons and support on the site of the playground shot by Russian fiends," Poroshenko said after the meeting.
He noted that the Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine is one of the factors of establishing peace.
"The protection of our sky and sea and the liberation of our land, hellish sanctions against the aggressor, assistance to Ukraine and integration into the EU and NATO – all this is the way to peace and our formula for victory," Poroshenko stressed.
