Polish Leopard 2 tanks ready to be sent to Ukraine – Duda
KYIV. Feb 23 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Poland has prepared Leopard 2 tanks for delivery to Ukraine, they are planned to be delivered within a month.
“Today our Leopard tanks are ready for Ukraine. In our training center, Ukrainian tankers train on Leopard tanks, we are preparing them right now, a training cycle is underway,” Polish head of state Andrzej Duda said in an interview with CNN.
According to him, the Ukrainian military, who are currently being trained in Poland, “will be ready to return to Ukraine with tanks within one month.”
Duda also added that Poland has serious problems with obtaining spare parts for German tanks.
“It’s not just with us – these problems are quite common. Other countries also have problems with Leopard, because the Germans have serious problems with the supply of spare parts. We don’t understand this situation, but that’s the way it is,” he said.
